If you want to create things that matter, I want to help you.
Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of asking for it. But I know it can feel terrifying to put yourself out there and ask for help, so I’ll make the first step really easy for you. đ

Making a living as a creative
shouldn’t be this hard!
Your job is either crushing your soul…or your next paycheck is a mystery. âš
You know you need to expand your network,
but youâd rather die than âput yourself out there!â
Youâre spinning too many plates, wearing too many hats,
and doomscrolling rather than focusing on work that actually matters.
Been there. Done that.
Hi, Iâm Zack! I’m a creative career coach with a podcast (in a former life I was an award-winning Hollywood filmmaker), and Iâm no stranger to building a professional network from zero, balancing the demands of work & life, and all the messy burnout in between.
If youâre struggling to find the right path for you, Iâm here to help artists, creatives, and storytellers like you navigate this next uncertain phase of work and life on YOUR terms.

This is the part where I’m supposed to talk about me…
That in a former life I was an award-winning Hollywood film & television editor, producer, and documentary filmmaker; or that now I spend my days as a writer, podcaster, keynote speaker, and creative career coach (although most of my students jokingly call me their âcareer therapistâ); that Iâve edited multiple #1 TV shows like Cobra Kai, Empire, Glee, and Burn Notice; that Iâve competed twice on American Ninja Warrior and have run over 30 Spartan races; or that my work has been featured in National Public Radio, The Washington Post, Forbes, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, blah blah blahâŠ
But I’d rather talk more about you.
You probably found me because you’re smack dab in the middle of an existential crisis navigating a major life transition that doesn’t make any sense. And thanks to the stupid robots, you’re questioning whether or not you can even provide value to this new digital hellscape we’re all navigating. Let me solve this for you right now:
I’m confident you still bring value to this world.
But I’m guessing you might be getting in your own way?
Your insatiable drive and passion to create things often leads to overwhelm and burnout.
Imposter syndrome and analysis paralysis are stopping you from sharing your work with the world!
With all of the uncertainty around creative jobs and artificial intelligence, you have no idea what career path is right for you.
Your introversion isn’t helping things either, especially when it comes to building your network of peers and mentors who can help guide you along your new path.
With the speed that life is moving, staying focused for even 60 minutes at a time is a challenge, and achieving any semblance of work-life balance in this digital hellscape?? Impossible.
I Get It…the Struggle Is REAL
I’ve spent the majority of my creative career battling imposter syndrome, perfectionism, procrastination, ADHD, depression, and burnout more times than I can count. I’m only an “expert” on these subjects because I’ve lived them. Where I’ve lacked the knowledge to navigate these challenges, I have connected with the world’s experts to seek their guidance and mentorship so we can all make sense of our messy, creative minds.
If you want to create things that matter
(but you struggle to get out of your own way),
I want to help you.
